1/350 Mikro Mir USS Scorpion. This is a (one of many) stalled build that I started last March that I picked up again as I was working on the USS Hampton. It is now pretty well ready for a coat of primer.
This is the build that steered me off the Horch build….

In fairness I was sidetracked by a little resin casting project, then I started to build something else and you know how it goes :smiling5:
While things are drying on my Ju 52, I have a little time on my hands , so I thought I'd get some decals on my fuel truck/trailer and jeep for the Tuskegee Dio. progress so far.
Looks like a very late G version Si. Will it have the added anti aircraft armor?
Hi Paul, yes you are correct it is a late G.
The kit is by Vespid and they do have the AA armour version available but this kit version doesn’t…..it does have PE schurzen though

Looking good Rick, particularly like the jeep, but who doesn’t like a jeep :smiling4:
Well Si I was just getting ready to ask what scale your panther was then found the above.....and it's almost the perfect scale too! :smiling3: Are you going to do it up in tri color camo or go for something a little more exotic like the "Dot" style like Daimler used or maybe the "Disc" style of M.A.N? Either one would be a fun departure from the "norm".:thumb2:

Here are the final renditions......decaling is complete and all are flat finished, window glass is next and finally weathering. Can't say enough about this Krylon rattle can flat coat....dry to the touch in 10 minutes and can be handled in 1 hour. And Cheap......around $6.00 for an 11 oz. (net) can.

Hi Rick,
You sound like our Mr Jones with his exotic/unique paint scheme suggestions :smiling5:…..not sure i could pull off anything too technical at this scale!
I honestly have no idea where I’m going with the colouring in for this yet….I’ll brush the dust off my thinking cap, not used it in a while :smiling5:
After the decal work on the fuel truck, trailer and jeep I've been having a look at how this is all going to look on the dio. Still have all the figs. to paint up and then stage the scene. I am not taken with the runway surface and will be trying a different topping.
