    Holy Grail?

Tbh, I have not looked to see if it’s been discussed before. However after scouring the internet and finding little of use, I thought I would ask here!

How does or indeed can one reproduce smoke or clouds of dust.
EG, the sort a tank may eject from tracks when transiting dusty terrain or perhaps smoke from an aircraft exhaust at start up, (carbon from a cartridge start).

Has anyone dabble or indeed mastered the art?

The things I've seen used are fluffed up cotton wool or polyfil / pillow stuffing type materials, painted, and sometimes with LED's embedded for a flame effect.

I've never done anything like that myself but I'd be surprised if there weren't examples on here somewhere, if you could find them.

A good start for a search might builds by Ron / spanner570 as he's a master at repurposing materials. I'll never forget his rice crispy encrusted submarine!

Have dabbled w/polyfil & clothes dryer lint, though not thought enough of the results to include in the dios. Dzohn's results are a much better example.
