Working on my Airfix 1/48th scale Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 because orders from the wife "You have mostly aircraft kits, do one!".
I'm painting it right now but the masking tape took off some of the paint along the top line. Going to work on that today before I try to apply the upper paint.

Well much improved over last couple of days beginning to feel more like my own miserable sarcastic self , been enjoying some self indulgence at the dining table/ bench comming and going between bouts of telly and handing out death on my old ps4 ,anyway had a nice little session am when I had no room left on the pallet so went out to kitchen to clean

Looking back through the dining room door felt the finger of fear run down my back ,bloody hell missus and daughter back from a week at the mum in laws (she doing really well)now the house fuhrer doesn't mind me occupying the dining room but I dont think she'd be so pleased with this

So first thing in morning the big tidy before their return ,shame happy as a pig inoop: springs to mind. Dave

My mate had a bit of an accident today trying to remove a hidden screw from this Zafira dashboard, breaking off a couple of the vent slats:
So I brought it home, got the micro drills, some wire and the black CA out (after being surprised that one slat was plastic, the other white metal)
Fixed, and it still adjusts like it should. I've touched it up for now but will blast some proper colour over it tomorrow. He can clean it himself!
We have a topic about using non-modelling materials in our hobby, maybe we should have one for using our bench skills to fix random items :smiling5:Comment

In that vein: yesterday my next-door neighbour asked if I could fix his little mirror-on-a-stick, which had broken loose from said stick. Some two-part epoxy glue, that I normally use for heavy metal or resin kit parts, fixed that soon enough.Comment

Hi guys,
After a long hibernation I'm trying to get behind the bench again, with the ambition to finish some old shelf-queens (before starting anything new!).
To boost my mojo I made some basic stuff you'll find on many benches.
I used a left-over foam tile to make an 'anti-tip-over-glue-thing'...
It's a tight fit and works better then expected
I also cut some cardboard strips,
Glued them together with wood-glue,
Added sides and a bottom,
Finished the sides with a brown paper-tape,
And that's an additional thing to store 'painted/ready to paint' parts - you can buy those things - but with all the cardboard in our house it made more sense to diy it.
Dimensions are 250x125x30mm (9.84x4.92x1.18")
Now I just need to finish some models : D...
Cheers StevenComment
