    Airfix 1/24 stuka question

My question is before I go to far does anyone know if the engine can be fully built and still have the covers on or is it like the spitfire engine built covers off or engine not built and covers fitted cause the instructions don't say.
    Yours rather bemused

I gave an answer to your question in another place but will reply here too.

I found that the covers would not fit snugly with the engine fitted (which caused a bit of a problem when painting the snake over them). However, it was possible to slide the covers over to the side where photos were being taken:

Not satisfactory but better than nothing. The engine was fully built:

I would normally grind the inner surface with a burr where the engine touches to get a good fit. Did that to my BF109 with engine fitted.

        Cheers,
