These are the ones I have. Definitely water based, so maybe you are thinking of something else Tim.

        Andy

How do you find it? Is is reasonably matt? Have you tried it through an AB? The Vallejo Resin varnish I use is nearly three times the price per ml?

        Thanks.

I have to admit I haven't used it for a long while Andrew. The bottle is nearly empty and I discovered AK matt varnish which I really like for both brush & airbrush.

I seem to remember it was quite matt though, and went through the airbrush okay with a little water to thin it. If you bumped up the pressure with a larger needle I'm sure it would spray neat.

For gloss it's Mr Color GX-100 lacquer, but the ones I use most are the VMS HD acrylic varnishes. I use the satin a lot, and once I finish my bottle of AK matt I'll probably replace it with the VMS.

I guess this is not much help to you, since I am a part of a "foreign field", but this is what I use on my figures.

To be honest it was a while ago but I think it was Canadian tire.
