    What is it?

    Hi all,

Came across something the other day which I have had a dabble with to try and use to make long grass/rushes.

It may already be out there amongst the unconventional materials but I have never come across it.

Before I reveal what I have used how about people have a guess?

I trust if it is listed somewhere this will be a very short quiz!

    Rich

Spot on Tony! :no1: Meadow Thistle so my book says.

We have a large marsh down the road near the canal and there is an abundance of thistles and similar plants with seeds that might fit the bill. It was only when walking from the town back home that I happened to spot the stuff. You can get absolutely loads out of the heads by gently pulling them, what first caught my attention is they look like a brush and it got me thinking.

                          Cheers all
