Toothpick paint scraper

When trying to tidy up canopy framing, I often use a cut toothpick to gently scrape away paint from around frame edges etc. I take an X-acto and slice through a round toothpick at a desired angel and use the resulting sharp edge gently on dried paint. Sometimes I soak with a little thinner. Seems to work well.
I would be glad to hear of other methods.

I've tried using a cut toothpick with mixed results. When it works it's great but occasionally the paint flakes away from the frame as well. I like your idea of soaking the toothpick in thinners - that should soften the paint enough to stop it flaking.

I've always used a tooth pick. It's the best tool for the job i've found. A pin will scratch the plastic too much. There's always the option of a cannopy mask if one is available and i have heard of people making their own masks by pressing the cannopy in white tack to make a mould but i cant remember what they poured into the mould.
