Helpful tip getting stubborn decals into panel lines...

    Hi guys,

Just spend 2 days applying Micro-Sol again and again to get my decals (ICM) to drop into the panel lines...
I even tried pure acetone! They didn't move a thing...

Then eventually I gently pushed a sharpened wooden skewer into the decal and it turned out they were softened but needed help dropping down...

So very carefully I went trough all the panel lines with my stick and that worked out great!

So if you have trouble with thick decals, give it a shot, it might also work for you :thumb2:
    Kind regards,

Pure acetone? Surprised there is any decal/paint/plastic left.
My way of dealing with ICM decals are to Scrunch they into a ball and launch them across the room to the trash can. ALL their decals I have tried just fall apart as soon as they see the water bath.

I have used the cocktail stick trick on the normally thick Tamiya decals...

I've had the same problem and they just need a bit of gentle persuasion. I normally use an old paintbrush which has worn down to a stump. Less risk of tearing.

I’ve done this too, with decals softener by Micro Sol. First press firmly down with a cloth, and if necessary use a wooden stick or your fingernail to get them into the panel lines.
