if you are following the instructions to a tamiya kit and it asks you to paint a plack piece with x-18, dont bother.
The x-18 dries exactly the same colour and texture as the original black plastic, only difference is you could end up with brush marks.
so for a smooth semi-gloss black finish.....just leave it!!!
if other colours are asked to be painted on to a black part as well as x-18, do these first and touch up with the x-18 afterwards.
....saves alot of time and paint
