code 342 is xz725,code 308 is xz733 this is working from the 95 copy of MAM as that is as early as i can go back with them Rich. I may have another avenue open but will look at that tomorrow evening if these don't help.

cheers Terry, I appreciate the help, I have two piccys I took of 360 in 1995, one where the tail boom and therefore the serial number is out of shot and the other side on with a torpedo being loaded but I can't find it TYPICAL!

No Ian, they're both later models - but thanks for your help. I joined Manchester around September 1994, we sailed for the Gulf in January 1995, getting back roughly September 1995... That's why I think it's the one after XZ254. Only problem is I can only find that serial number on 303 and 306... Hope I can dig the photos out! Can't wait to start on the Lynx... I've gone for the Revell 1:32 version

Think I'm going to have to dig that photo out and hope it's got the serial number showing!

Unfortunately Rich I can't give dates for them one as they are off my spotting database.

Ok Rich I have done a bit more digging for you with the above info. There is one frame that has come back twice with different ship codes. both 360 and 342 have appeared on XZ733 within the time frames of your above post not sure if this is your frame.

Well, i managed to track down the controller i handed over to when i left the ship and the first airframe he said he could remember was XZ254 so I've a feeling thats the one. I do remember the Lynx had rotor-head problems and was grounded for a time so thats possibly why it was listed as being ashore. Terry thanks for all your help, you've been an enormous help; very much appreciated. Ive got my 1/32 Lynx model all i have to do now is throw some glue and paint at it and see what happens! First job is to figure out how to get rid of those berp blades for nice mid-nineties straight ones... now where did i put my files and wet and dry?
