There seems to be a lot of planes parked outside like a Voodoo, Neptune and C-47 besides an F-14, Mig-29 and a weird helicopter seen from the top of Googlemaps.
Fancy having two towns called Salem. Just leads to old brains like mine being confused :hugging-face: :rolling: :smiling:
Off to Google The Salem Witches.
No worry Jim....Just goes to show what a lack of imagination some of the elected officials suffered from when coming up with new names of places for people to live...LOL:tongue-out3: Rick H.
So true Dave.......the Colonies also Plagiarized a lot of town names from the UK.......I can't imagine how many but it must be in the hundreds. Rick H.
Washington originated in the UK as well…..it’s name came from a town in the land of the Why Aye! Near Sunderland. I don’t think they were plagiarised though. I think the original settlers came from that particular town in the UK and named the new place after the one they came from. New Hampshire comes to mind..
Ha - try this for size - most common city names in the US
1
Washington
88
2
Springfield
41
That, BTW, is why The Simpsons is set in Springfield.
