    Spitfire mkV

    Does anyone know if there were any physical differences between the mkVb and mkVc?

    My son has bought me an Airfix Spitfire mkVc for my birthday and I would like to build it as a Vb, as used in the Orkneys by the City of Glasgow Squadron 602.

    Any images or links would be appreciated.

    From what I remember the letter donates the wing armament configuration and I always thought the 'b' was the single machine gun and single cannon.

      That's a good thrread from Richard. The fourth reply is from Edgar Brookes and you can be pretty certain that it is a definitive answer.
