Bf 109 E markings and camo

Ive decided to make my first build in 20 years a Bf109 and not as planned the "Memphis Belle". Chalk and cheese I know but feels more comfortable starting smaller.

Anyway, research browsing led me to this markings and camo blog, that I thought might be useful to have in the reference sub forum.

    Good stuff Danny.

There are things on a couple of those profiles which are debateable

Are you going for one of those schemes?

    Cheers

Hi Steve...As I mentioned before Im probably going to start with a Bf and leave the B-17F till Ive got my hand back in. Unsure as yet, I may just use the kit as a means of getting my eye back in with the brushes. I was a sign writer in a previous incarnation ( 30 years ago), and used to work only in enamel on my kits. I still have all my brushes, but whether the eye and hands can still work on the same wavelength we will see... My aim is to enjoy, relax, hand paint with acrylics and see where it goes.

I've reverted back to enamels after a flirtation with acrylics. I find them easier to airbrush and certainly brush!

Good luck with your 109,whichever you decide to do.

        Cheers
