    Farnborough International Airshow 2018

I visited FIA2018 today and saw some great aircraft, displays and a lot of really interesting new technology. The flying car was pretty cool as was the Stallwille tool stand but the best was GE’s 3D printing machine that makes parts from metal - fascinating.
I have lots more photos to come when I download them from my camera.

Nice pics so far Rick, look forward to seeing the others later on. That ATR actually doesn't look too bad in the military grey scheme.

Some more from FAI2018. Apologies for any duplicates.
I have this sudden need to build a US Hercules, Chinook and a militarised Q400 or ATR.............

A 2019 User Created GB idea Rick? Great pics. The C-130 blades are interesting, I was thinking that's a bit more extreme than the usual J model, and why would An ANG Hercules be worth sending to Farnborough. Then found this https://wyomilitary.wyo.gov/news-releases/18_039/

The propellers weren’t the only thing that caught my eye, this cab also has a wing pylon mounted Litening pod and a second one mounted on the RH personnel door - to improve their drop accuracy apparently.
I have a few ideas for a GB next year but not for a Hercules or death banana - I was thinking of a SEAC/Vietnam aircraft or Century series jet (Tony’s tail will be wagging at that second one!)

Well I’d invite you round for a cuppa but I’m enjoying the the sunny weather on the beach next to Lossiemouth.
I have to say I found the Boeing exhibit chalet a bit underwhelming, their aircraft were impressive though. Some of my potential GB candidates are Eduard’s Good Evening da Nang Phantom, an F-100, F-102, F-105 and a CH-34. But I really need to finish what is on my bench first.

                          Thanks Rick.
Looked a great day out, just the weather for an airshow. Pity for Fernando when the low cloud spoilt the one he covered.
