Hi
this may be on interest to those with an interest in WW2.
first a little background: During the late 1940's there was a huge drive for scrap metal which saw the stripping out of the majority of bunkers in Guernsey; everything from the steel doors to fixtures and fittings and cable was removed for scrap. Fortunately not everything was taken, some was left, especially those bunkers on private property. Fast forward to the 1990's and the formation of Festung Guernsey; which is a group which restores WW2 bunkers, often taking things from one bunker to fit out another, or even reproducing items and fittings.
one such bunker is a personnel bunker at Fort Houmet - a Victorian site inwhich the germans added their fortifications. This bunker is often open to the public, and on one such day a local business called Spike Productions created a virtual tour of the bunker. What is very nice is that they added labels to identify items and translate signs etc.
