Old model - no panel lines

    Hi friends

I came across an old f-14 1/72 which doesn't have any panel lines in the mold, instead there are lines that are raised up in the mold.
Usually I primer black and then paint a color with some white undercoat in order to maintain the panel lines but with this mold I'm a little bit lost on how to maintain the panel lines, any suggestions?

Could use weathering powders to highlight them after painting or paint them a slightly different colour than your topcoat colour first then after topcoat colour is applied very lighter run some very fine wet and dry across them to break through the topcoat and expose the colour underneath, that would be tricky not to break through to the primer or plastic though, or maybe just white prime and preshade the panel lines in black .

      Edge of a pencil.
Clay washes also help with picking up traised panel lines.

Don't worry about them! Look at pictures of an F14 - are the panel lines very visible?

          Tai,
Follow Petes suggestion, modern aircraft are smooth over their surface. If you wish to depict seperate panels spry them in a lighter or darker shade, but rub down the raised lines first - they are probably incorrect anyway.
