Question on hiding "junction cracks"

Hi again lads!

Still working on my too-much-for-my-skill an-124 model, I finaly glued together the two main parts of the hull. Thing is, I put too much trust in the painter's tape, and now the upper side of the hull shows some "open cracks", where the two pieces weren't perfectly conected.

Normaly, this could be solved with some "cement" (don't lknow the english name) but the model's white and my cement is gray, so it would end up looking horrible for sure, no matter how much paint I could put on it.

So... anyone has any ideas on how to work around this?

hi vicente, i dont know if you can get this in portugal but it sounds like you need some squadron white stuff. this is a filler just the same as their green stuff but obviously its white. its easier to cover if youre doing a white paint job . hope this helps , cheers tony

Vincente, what tony says is correct, you need to get some filler! Some good advice when using model filler or putty, is to lay a strip of masking tape on either side of the joint you are filling, then spread on the putty. The area covered by the masking tape does not get messed up, which makes sanding the putty down a little easier
