    Making diorama trees/bushes

Thought i'd start this thread after we started talking about this subject on a different thread. Not wanting to detract from that thread and also maybe this would be easier for other people to find through the site and search engines.

So if anyone has any techniques for making diorama trees/bushes then please fee free to post below. If you could show the techniques with pictures then that would be great too

I've included two of the suggestions off the other thread (hope you don't mind lads?)

Then brush with a PVA & water mix & sprinkle with dried herb leaves. I use mixed herbs or oregano. This makes excellent foliage & would work for trees too.

I'll be making one this week so I'll post pics if you like.

    Cheers

i use twisted wire for mine, theres plenty of tutorials on youtube, the advantage with these is that theyre made to your own specific dimentions and are posable to an extent after completion.

Ok here's something i've been messing with today. Found this litchen growing on some trees around here and thought it could be useful. I dried it out (in the boiler room at work) and then painted it brown so simulate the branches. Then i've painted a pva/water mixture onto the branch ends and covered them with Timberline products from John's shop

As you can see here are the three steps i did. Looks ok for a first attempt
