    Realistic straw, tips needed !

    Hi All

Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to make realistic straw, I am building a dio and would like to have some straw/hay on the back of a horse drawn cart/wagon.

Any tips would be appreciated, has anyone done this before if so please can you help out.

    Many thanks

I made straw/hay for my crash dio and some other dio's by teasing out the twist on brown garden twine and cutting and growing it to shape.

Tommy not sure of the scale you are at.

But always cook the dinner on a Saturday night & last Saturday I used egg noodles (nice) these I think would look very realistic if the right scale. They do them straight or in sort of wrapped wagon wheels.

Another similar would be spaghetti. If you wanted either the above or this one a bit crinkly then a bit of hot water would do the trick.

White fur (rabbit or deer). Cut it to length and dye to straw colour you desire
