Another very simple idea (from an equally simple man!).
For sanding in awkward spots (usually where the kit makers put their ejector pins!).
Take a piece of sprue with a number tag. Cut it free with the tag and sand a flat spot opposite the tag. Wrap a piece of sanding paper around it and use the number tag as a 'handle' for your tweezers or long nose pliers.
