      What does everyone use to glue canopies to kits these days? i used to use PVA glue. is that still the norm?

        I use formula 560 canopy glue, which is basically PVA

          Always used PVA and Klear for glueing canopies and anything that has clear parts.

            Gator glue is also good for canopies

              I've just started using humbrol clearfix for canopies and find it better than pva, a little less runny.

                Thank you very much for starting this thread, like many others I too am returning to plastic model kit making after many years - lots of useful pointers here to help me get going.

                For me, I can remember in the early seventies making a few planes, some prehistoric dinosaurs and a few boats, can you still get those dinosaur kits anymore?

                anyways thanks again Bunkerbarge and others for this very useful thread - well worth the sticky :thumbsup:

                    if you have a hobbycraft shop near you they will have a selection of dinosaurs. well the one up here has. tamiya hobbies I think.
