    zimmerit ??

    Hi guys I will be building a tiger tank soon 1/35 I was wondering if my attempt at zimmerit using air clay was convincing or not thanks for your opinions on this cheers John

    Looks OK there pattern wise, the colour is a little distracting I suppose.

    When I did a German tank (panther) I attached the medium to the hull then applied the detailing, I found it easy this way.

    There's several patterns for different tanks and versions if you want to be historically accurate, these can be found on the t'interweb.

      As Colin says the pattern is OK, but in all the images I've seen of real zimmerit it looks like its been applied with some sort of notched trowel, zimmerit - Google Search, not sure about this, but yours looks a little heavy. But you're a better man than me, I ain't even tried yet.
