not a bad kit this goes together well and has some lovely detail , if anyone has this or wishes to build one here's a tip paint your sections seperatly completely as some areas can be hard to reach

II hope you like it and feel free to comment/criticise

I like that Al, only thing I would add is that the panels are crying out for slight paint hues. Nice job though and looks quality.

That's a great build Alan! It looks very impressive. I'd agree with Si that some tonal variation would add needed depth to the model - it'd make it look bigger.

Although I guess that's not easy to do with hairy sticks!

          Cheers mate

It doesn't look right in this scale mate and alters the actual colour making it look too dark and if you do it too light you can't see them

I'm happy with it as it is

I like it, got the Galactica to do but waiting on a lighting rig to arrive for it.

Maybe you could just try to add a wash to some panels to vary it?

Just a slight variation in the panel colours, so aluminium with a touch of blue, or white or even a silver or chrome, just highlights the panels, not all just few.

This is how it looks mate and I've just realised why you can't see it , the light has bleached it

Thanks for the great comments I've taken some more pics without so much glare to show the surface clearer it's still not as good as real life but you get a better idea of how it really does look

Like it Al, and can see the washes. It was just the amount of panels, raised bits that just make me want to paint a few of them lol.

Nice looking kit, despite me not getting into the series, may have a gander for one.

Forget it not paying £60 for the same scale as normal (new) Galactica...
