I have finally completed my star destroyer. I repainted it about three times (there must be about 15 coats on there by now) and spent many nights wiring up lights and threading fibre-optics, with a 0.3mm drill in one hand and tweezers in the other. In the end, I have fitted 23 LED lights, and around 360 individual optic fibres. The lights look so much better in real life than in the photos, but that's always the way. 
I have a couple of better photos on the camera, but can't get them off the card at the moment.
