Iron Man 3, Heartbreaker Mk XVII Armor

I felt it had been far too long since my last Iron Man build, way back in January with Igor

So here's the latest one to add to my ever growing collection, this one is the Dragon 1:9th Iron Man 3 Heartbreaker Mk XVII armor.

I used my favourite Alclad II Hotmetal Red and Chrome but this time I choose to go with Mr Metal Color Gold as its not supposed to be a sparkly Gold.

I tried out Tamiya gloss black as a base and although the Chrome went down well, when I applied the Hotmetal Red over the top it was far too hot and burnt through leaving a terrible tacky mess. After stripping him back down I reverted to using Alclad's Black Gloss base.

In the end I'm pleased with the overall finish but just noticed I haven't painted in his eyes, the base is the standard basic black circle so I'll have a play and improve it for show tables

Hope you like him and any comments always welcomed
