Jeez Barrie, coming from that is praise, compared to your builds this is nothing. The paint job is so simple, has to be for me lol. Just a primer coat, then a metallic coat, when dry just some water and salt, splash on sprinkle salt or rub on with a moist finger where you want the metallic to show through, then just add your top coat, leave to dry and rub the salt off.

        Hello Si,

do me a favour painting is not my game I wish it was some people are brilliant at it getting effects and weathering just right you are one of those people, building is another I love to build but when it gets closer to the dreaded painting stage I tend to slow down, on some of my models you will notice I have just applied a primer coat so that people like yourself can do the magic and make the model into some else all together much better.

how far from Preston in Lancashire are you if you do not mind me asking, maybe I could drop a model off for you to do your magic on in the future. ( for a small fee of course )

regards Barrie ( the old guy who can not paint for toffee )

Very, kind of you to say so Barrie, although I doubt my skills are upto your builds. I live around 60 miles away near Wakefield.

            Cool idea,

Great weathering detail, not the sort of build you see everyday I really like it .

            Fantastic job Si

Thanks guys, was a great one to do and really simple, normally the case though, the simple ideas most times turn out to be more fun.

I have had a post on another forum saying I should do it as a resin kit for SW fans...wouldn't know where to start lol.
