Daedalus large scale scratch build

Hi every one, my friend asked me if I could build a replica of a CGI model used on stargate...the daedalus space craft, well I found a few references and then got busy with my model knife and ruler and a lot of plastic sheet and this is what came out. I hope you guys like it, my friend has seen the build images and is waiting for me to paint the model then ship it out to him to add to his collection.

but I have to confess painting is not my strong point and never has been, I wish some times some one else would paint my models for me....but I will try my best to a reasonable finish on the model.

Thank you one and all for the nice comments,
making large scratch builds is what I love, and it keep my brain active and I like to build models that have not been made as kits or have been but in a tiny scale. here are a few pics with a base coat of primer on the model, as some of you may know painting is not my thing I just BUILD.
