    FREE SCALE MOON CAPSULE.

After many a week of feeling poorly and two falls I have finally managed to finish off my version of a moon capsule with service module/engines. I do mainly RC tanks now but with supplies low and not being able to do anything I went back to basics and just scratch built from junk. It isn't meant to be any type that was in or is in service just my take on one.

I did start a build log on here but illness stopped that. She is made from scrap, aluminum torch, inhaler parts, boat bits, tank parts-she is 90% metal so heavy hence I used a brass and aluminum base which had to tapped and messed with to get the metal rod to fit.

Decals fitted were anything I had in the spares box.

    Turned out okay.

Hello there Allen, glad you like it-yeah, never thought of it as late 60's early 70's Bond capsule just before Dr Evil nabbs it...or am I getting all mixed up there :smiling3:

It actually doesn't weigh that much but as the nose is heavier I tried to counter with added weight at the rear. She probably onlys ways couple of pounds if that but I knew that if I didn't have a sturdy base she would just topple.

Thank you Christopher, I have always had a good imagination, it is just the 'how the hell do I get that to fit there' bit that gets tricky LOL.

That is a very clever use of "junk". Really looks the part. It does remind me of a space craft in a James Bond film.
