Have you thought of just priming and then top coat in spray, then your excellent brushed weathering, may get a better finish.

That's looking great, you could most likely get several different greys from Halfords if you wanted to spray can it and then like Si said weather it up with a brush after?

Thanks for the advice guys but I'm not too clever with a rattle can and I don't want to chance it , Santa is bringing me the complete set up because I've been a good boy this year so I'll wait until then to ruin my builds

Just cleaned and built part of the midships , got a bit of filling on this bit and while I was cleaning it up I broke a chunk off but it should not be too much of a problem

That PE really adds to it Alan & you've done a great job.

I hear what you say about rattle cans, but I'd definitely have a try at spraying that one. Short bursts & you can't go wrong!

Time for an update , I've been quite busy of late and only been able to do bits on this but I have now finished the engine section bar weathering it

Also I've built the midships section , this was not fun , large gaps all down the sides and the centre detail had to be cut down by quite a bit

just a little bit of tidying up on this section and I can prime it

Cheers Adrian , if it wasn't for the hard work you have to put into a resin kit this would be finished

Thanks again and I'm pleased you like it

I like those engines Alan, this should turn out very well. How big is the kit?

Cheers Patrick , it will be 16 inches long which is quite big for resin
