Welcome Aboard '' Doctor Who ''

well look what i got, I just could not say no,was a must have,

the 1/12 scale Doc,Martha, and were the sic-fi the Tardis,

this is the episode when the Doctor ,being David Tennant, meet Maratha for the first time,

so this is all new to me was scarey going from 1.72 to 1.35 oh what have i done its so big lol 1.12

So far by looking in the plastic bags dose seam to be very well molded, with nice detail,

just hope i can do it justice, ops:

very nice color booklet of 19 pages showing the assembly and painting,

    and the decals,

after i did order the kit i did a bit of digging around into it ,as one dose, and i saw a set of after market decals, try 1 or 2 places that were ment to have them with no luck, and then i saw on the bottom,of one set a email address so ,i sent the chat an email say i have the kit ,and dose he have any decals, for it still, said he would have alook for me , and only had some half sets about so he very kindly run of a new set for me, and post with i got yesterday,

so a very big thank you to Jim James

I hope you all enjoy this build and maybe called on for help and advice

    cheers

    Moni

if in the wrong place plz move

This should be interesting, I'm a long term, as in remembering the first Doctor, fan

BTW...isn't that David Tennant on the box rather than Matt Smith ?

                    Cheers

                    Steve

                        hi all,

well this gives my age away but i grow up watching Tom Baker, alway the best Doc to me, but must say i do like Peter Capaldi,as well

reminds me of Tom but a little more cranky than him ,he is like my uncles to the north shell i say,

well first things first yes Steve your right im sorry got that one wrong for some reason maybe just over happy to get the kit today ops:

he is the 10 th doc ? if im right, shhhh don't tell anyone just us lol,

so glad that you all like the pick,

                        Alan,Si,John,Steve

i will have alook at your one as well Peter, always nice to see one made,

so John did your son make his up or stash it away for another day ?

just have to get my head out of western or eastern front type of painting no harsh weathering on this one,

ta John glad to be back still a little bit sore in 2 to 3 fingers but can hold a brush again for short time,

oh yes thats going to be tricky lol how to make it look bigger than it is have it open into the main room all done with mirrors

I wouldn't be too sure on the weathering front from some of the pics my son has showed me subtle but plenty of it

I'm waiting to see you finish yours before I attempt my sons

hi Alan i do think it dose need some amount of weathering ,as it would look odd otherwise,

i have just start on the base and back drop of a brick wall, so once that's together i will be starting on the tardis,

Oh, Doctor Who, awesome. I too grew up with Tom Baker, he was my favourite Doctor. Him, K9 and his assistant Sarah Jane Smith.

Looks to be a nice kit Monica. I seem to recall that 'The Airfix Book of Scale Modelling' by Jonathan Mock ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/Airfix-Book-Scale-Modelling/dp/1844861260 ) has a small feature on this kit.
