hi Joe, steve, i do like the salt technique, as you always get some that just will not budge, which looks good,in my eyes

I also use the hair stick alot as well, you should realy try them out Steve, not as scarey as it all seams

nice to have you along Polux, scott,o_O

Catalin, no thats salt on water to use for a paint chipping effect, once dry ,you spray over your top coats then once thats dry you

use a old tooth brush or just a very old brush and rub off the salt and it chips away to the under coat,

for show i use baking powder or some type of very fine power ,on top of watered down PVA glue,

Nice, Iove the salting, makes a lovely smooth worn effect, not as precise as hairspray chipping but great for large areas. I also wait until dry then use my fingers to rub off, the salt then dulls the paintwork giving a more worn, flat look.

Another technique is to use PVA, get a piece of flat plastic and add the glue thinly, once dry you can shape, and it looks like the laquer coat has peeled.

thats a must try as well, what i do is let the paint sit for 3 or 4 hrs then use a cotton bud to push it about abit and ripple itt,

My Bird Of Prey was painted in car spray paint, after I salted it and then knocked back with fingers and toothbrush: result, a nice worn and flat paintwork.
