Wow Chris that is going back a ways.....I think the brand was Hitachi.....I still have and use my 14" JVC with built in VHS player from the 1980's...works like a champ. The oldest working set I have is a 1939 Zenith multi band console radio.....I'm certain that, at one point, it was used to listen to the news broadcast of Hitler's march into Poland. Rick H.

Here you go Chris.......1939 Zenith Console Radio. The cabinet has the original finish on it and it is in perfect working condition. I acquired this from a close personal friend in the late 1980's.....he purchased it new in 1939 before he went into the Navy. It lived most of its life in his parents home in Carmel California. when he came home after the war he left it there and bought a small table model for his tiny apartment. When his parents passed away he inherited the house in Carmel and still it remained there as he used it for his second home. I happened upon it at his residence in Palo Alto California while visiting him one afternoon. He had brought it there to see if his Son was interested in having it. I was shocked that it was in such beautiful condition and asked if he would consider me if his Son didn't want it. Well, I ended up with it and have enjoyed it ever since. That’s fantastic Rick. I assume it’s valve driven? If so, do you have spares.

Yes indeed Gentlemen.....I had everything gone through and all the old dried up condensers were replaced as well as any weak vacuum tubes so it's all fresh as a daisy.....it was amazing that it still played when I got it. There is a Vintage electronics supply house in Tempe Arizona that has everything under the Sun for vintage radios and stereophonic equipment...actually quite a following here in the U.S.
