Thunderbird 1

My son nigel & I are buildind a 3' Thunderbird 1 out of plastic card, from a drawing taken from a book loaned from a friend many years ago. I wish i could find a supply of thunderbird drawings now.

it does not look much to start with

    the engine cooling fins

the frame for the top of the main body, it will be filled with wood and carved.

i'll add more photos are we go.

That looks great Bob If the jet end of it is hollow could you not put some holes in t he jets and fill the end with something or take the rearend off and fill it that way but still worth 5 stars. Now onto Thunderbird 2 ? ha ha

Great job, nicely painted. .... hope you've got somewhere to put it

I'd love to do more scratch builds this size but at the moment the two beds in the spare room are home to a 44inch crabboat and a 40inch SG1 Prometheus (both of which i need to get my mojo back to finish off)

Definitly Thunderbird 2 next Bob !!!

Great work Ian, your T1 looks amazing. T2 maybe, but what about a Thunderbird 6? Now that would be rare.
