Losing your modelling mojo can be frustrating, you want to do something but just cannot seem to get motivated...it is almost like you go through a 'I'm bored with modelling' phase.

Glad to see tinkering Polux, take it easy.

                Hi all!

well....better don't ask me what I'm doing..... ops:

The idea is try new things and..... knock, knock on the mojo's door !!

Will add now a filter or a dark wash, trying to do a more homogeneous paint work.

PS: the last photo is not correct, the effect is much better on "real life"

                THanks for looking

That looks amazing Polux! I can't quite see how you got from the multi-coloured look to the final pic? Was it oils you used & then blended them?

Whatever it was, that really looks cool!

                    Thanks Patrick!

I paint all the model with acrylics. Have enough with the oil colours on the business van ops:

As you can see, I do this coloured preshade effect and then add a metallic amethyst gloss colour, and the final one is a very thin coat of matt black

Now I'm looking for a wash or similar, but I'm afraid to lose this effect :P

                    Thanks again

                      Thanks

Thanks for explaining it Polux, that makes sense to me. Your method would look really good on aircraft exhaust nozzles for getting that 'burnt metal look.

I might try to replicate your technique on some scrap because it looks so nice & adds real depth.

Looking good Polux. I have this kit in my stash, along with an additional set of crew figures. I like where you're going with this.

                            I have the figures too

If I paint it on black, you can imagine which decals I will use... :P

                                Yep!!

I don't know what to build....so I'm losing the time with the unfinished kit ops:

Do you like this new look?

I’ve been trying to imitate a “Solar Camouflage”, playing with shinny and strange paint effects..... O_o
