              Well, Thank You, kind sir!
It took on a life of its own in the end, more so than I intended.
What I haven't mentioned is that I originally bought this model(way back when Modelzone still existed) to use as a test piece for the Italeri 1-35 scale LCVP in my stash. I have built up a collection of figures over the years but I'm still some way off starting it. It will probably take me 3 or four years to finish at my pace!

Neil, that is one superb build.
Top marks on a job well done. Coupled with some great pictures, it makes one excellent presentation.

                    Hi John
I used small triangles of clear packaging plastic, then gradually built it up with layers of clear glue -ClearFix- (no sponsorship deal though!)Click image for larger version

I put a piece of card between the boat and the splash as a mask, and I used a syringe to apply the glue in small amounts. I teased it into place with a wet q-tip.

Then I stippled several passes of quite thin white acrylic. The water content makes the paint pool on the shiny glue rather than stick solid so it looks more foam-like.

I used the same technique for the wake.
                    hope that helps
                    ?
                    Cheers
                    Neil

That's a fantastic piece Neil. Beautifully done. One question though, is the officer at the stern trying to quell a mutiny? :smiling:
