    1/16 Continental Coastal/Canal Barge.

Calling this done (there are some figures and some small accessories to add when they come). But, the main boat and the fitments are all finished.

So, here she is 'JOANNE' named after my wife...I am aware that my wife's name now adorns a rusty, old, barge...any similarity is purely coincidental.

Final pieces added, are a jerry can near the red fuel tank, ropes, crane cargo lift, ladder and a hatch light.

I have here on the canal sections, I know she is high but the coastal types are high sided, just adds to the sparse canal pieces.

    Thanks for looking.

Excellent result Si.......With a Figure or two it will help put this in scale and should set it off nicely. :thumb2: Rick H.

Thanks Rick, glad you like her.
As is always with me, I have gone back and am building a capstan with some chain-although a unpowered towed barge they did have a anchor if they needed to stop in a bay etc for a while, just need a anchor. I also painstakingly went back to the rust and added some rust spots. And knowing me, there will probably be something else I will find :tongue-out2:

As you say a couple of figures will bring her to life and make he seem more real and used.

Funnily enough, I sat in the workshed and looked at her and thought, why the hell am I doing all this work for something that is just a prop and folk will look at from 10ft away? Answer, cos I can and I love it....and, I just cannot help myself LOL.

Now I've had a chance to have a good look at this, Si, it's a credit to you.

                  Well worn and battered!

                  Great job for sure.

Cheers Ron, you know that my speciality is...well, worn and battered :smiling4:

I have, as usual, gone back, made a capstan/windlass with some chain and a anchor (of sorts), added some other small bits as decoration.
