dragon uss Benson

    Hi all

This is the dragon kit of uss Benson prewar colours ie 1940 before pearl harbour to 350 scale it's about 12 inches long and about 1 inch wide the kit is superb cannot fault the fit of the parts it's perfect the instructions however are awful the kit comes with some photo etch for guns , hatches, and ladders etc but I did add a set from Eduard for the railings I personally think it makes a lot of difference to the look if you can handle the eye strain all paints are tamiya and the rust was done with an AK rust effects set a nice touch is the inclusion of people in the kit even if there are only six

    All the best Roger

Very nice and I like the fact you have added some figures to it

      Lovely model!

Clean paintwork. The rust streakings are a nice detail.

I like it, I would suggest that if you have the rust marks which look great, that you maybe do a little more weathering? Some light streaking and such and some subtle panel/area differentiation maybe between the upper and lower sections would look great. Nothing major and dark, just subtle though

Great looking ship Roger. The rust is just right, nicely done.

Nice build, like the fact it looks used, not pristine. Great stuff.

Very nice Roger. Nice paint work Think I may have added some discolouration to the hull plates

and top sides to match character of the rust streaking but that is an alternative opinion not a criticism.

Roger those look like two bishops with out their heads holding up the model ?
