After painting a few more details, gluing on the superstructure bits, applying a coat of matt varnish, and adding an M1A1 Abrams, the LCAC is now finished.

Happily, the decal carrier film disappeared with the matt varnish, rather than become more obvious as I had feared a bit. The Abrams isn’t glued down, because the tracks are tacky from the plastic used, and stay that way even through several coats of paint, so it sticks to the deck even though I only pressed it down
