    A newbies HMS Kelly 1/700

Hi all - my first go at a 1/700 and i'm calling it finished. I realise there's still a lot to learn as it is nowhere as good as Ralphs recent build but for a fist go I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Hope you enjoy the pictures and comments more than welcome. Thanks Nick T.Click image for larger version

Thanks Ralph and Tim, enjoyed making but certainly straining on the eyes at this scale. Already on top shelf waiting for the next build to move it down.

Nice work Nick, and the seascape with the ship is very convincing.

Nice one Nick. The strain on the eyes was worth it right...

            Cheers,

Top work Nick! Very impressed. You should be well pleased with your efforts - I would be for sure.

I love creating seas and your's is excellent. Onwards and upwards to your next build.

Once your eyes are back to normal, don't forget to have a bash at 1/1200. Gorgeous little models and well worth the horrendous eye strain.

                Ron

Hi Ron, Thanks for your comments, my next build which is for the Cosford under £5 is a 1/1200 Tirpitz. I was surprised to see that it only has 31 parts though so guess you get what you pay for and I certainly should have paid more attention to the E-bay description. Oh well it will be an interesting challenge.
                  Thanks again,
                  Nick T.

Nick, I've made 6 of these little gems. Small on the part count they may be, but they are not to be taken lightly. Not easy to paint the camo. and rig, but well worth the care needed to turn the kits into great little models.

                    Enjoy Tirpitz. I made Bismark.

Hi Ron, looking forward to it, just joined the group build showing Tirpitz parts etc. Will give it by best shot with limited experience.
                      Thanks,
                      Nick T.
