Tirpitz spent all her time in Norwegian Fjords . Except for a single raid on a Norwegian port, she didn't venture out ever again, but became a 'Fleet in being' and therefore still a possible threat to Allied shipping.
Because of the constant attention and damage caused by the allies she was regularily moved from Fjord to Fjord.
After an attack by three British midget submarines, she was finally reduced to a floating gun battery, until sunk by the R.A.F. in November 1944. "She lived an invalid's life and died a cripple's death" is how one historian described her career.
During her brief life, Tirpitz was painted in many ways. She was constantly being repainted to suit the seasons.
I've brush painted her in her late June camouflage. I've written about the lack of quality in this kit during the build.
Here she is.

Very basic rigging. The main reason for the build is the wacky painting.

A bit of black and whitery......

Her arrival.

To relieve the crew's boredom, they were set to chopping down trees to place on the ship to help conceal her.

The ship was moored on her port side, so only the starboard side was camouflaged. here's my guess at just a bit of green.

Thanks for all your support throughout the build.
Cheers.
