This an excellent build, a very nice finish, and an excellent and skilful representation of weathering. It LOOKS
    Buut...

Unless the ship has been on the Murmansk run half-a-dozen times, and across the Atlantic as many, and then been paid off to sit in dock for a year, there's just too much rust above decks. The amount on 'X' turret alone would put it out of action. No Number One and the CPOs would let the ship look that bad. IMHO maybe
'Constant maintenance laddie. It's whar paint lockers are for!'

Besides which, there's no fouling below the waterline, which is a constant

    Right. Advocate analysis over
I agree to some extent but this is my first completed 1/350 ship so gimme a break

Somehow I missed this completely. Great job. She looks every inch the well traveled veteran in that excellent paint job.

            Mark, excellent build.

You'll never get a break from some members. I firmly believe if folks must criticize, P.M's are the best way, not go public and tell the world. Apart from anything else, and I don't care how thick skinned the receiver is, it does take the shine off the completed model.

Just do your own thing and enjoy what you achieve. It's your model.
