    U-99 'Golden Horseshoe' - AFV Club 1/350 U-Boat Type VII B

I'm going to call this finished at the moment, I may add the crew if I decide to proceed with the Scharnhorst Dio.

    Hope you like. Derek

Cracking job derek , the rust effects are great. How tiny are the crew going to be ? and tricky to paint , at that scale I would use a light grey for the eyes rather than white cheers tony

Gents thanks for your kind comments.

Ian, When I did the KGV I used L'Arsenal 1/350 Figures, see below. Problem with these is the figure is attached to the moulding strip with a very fine strip which runs down the figures spine. When you try to remove the figure legs arms and heads can get detached. Look closely at the KGV superstructure to see some figures.

For the Scharnhorst and U-Boat, I will be using the North Star Figures, they are far more detailed, and have feet attachment points.

I will try to copy this scene with the U-Boat coming along side the Scharnhorst with the mooring party standing-by.

For info, the crew colours will be more like this: -
