    Type XXVII Seehund,German submarine

Hi all last week I picked up a model submarine in good condition appart from the fact that the korts rudder is missing & in need of re-painting,

the water tight chamber looks ok,inside the wtc are 2 water pumps & main moter,

the 1st task is to make a replacement rudder any one got any idears ???? if so please let me know,

then fit 3 servos for korts rudder, dive planes & micro switches for the pumps, a speed controller & recever.

I am also looking for a secondhand 40mhz 4 ch Tx & Rx for the above any one got a spair they done need ???

what diameter is the prop, i've used deoderent lids succesfully on my push tug , some lids are slightly tapered , but will need to be wet flat sanded to except paint , or graupner do some moving type nozels where the prop shaft is fixed , same as your sub.

    regards paul.

You could use Miralyte ply wound around a former using waterproof adhesive,or wrap plastic sheet around the former, wind on a few layers of the ply, stand on end and flow cyno down the laminations by capillery action, then turn over and do the same.Believe me it will set like rock ! Look around the house for suitable things to use as the former, tins, jars etc you nrever know what you will find ?

Nice find, best of luck with the project.
