    Blue Flu

I am currently building a 'Blu Flu' model of "Hector", an 'H' class vessel c1950.

The plan I have shows little deck detail, can anyone help on hatches(wood, metal)?, were they flat or angled? Any detail re the main anchor capstan (roller diameter)? or any other info will be appreciated.

A search on Google with "Blue Funnel" throws up about 180,000 links and early hits included photographs of 'H' Class vessels. Suggest you give it a try!

      Visit:

and particularly at the end of his Blue Funnel page the note:

Ships in Focus: Blue Funnel Line by John Clarkson, Bill Harvey and Roy Fenton is believed to be the most comprehensive photographic record of Blue Funnel ships. A 192-page hardback, it is available from Ships in Focus Publications, 18 Franklands, Longton, Preston PR4 5PD, at 21 pounds sterling plus 3 pounds fifty postage.

Thanks for the replies folks, and appols for the delay in replying, have been off-line for the last week.

Will certainly look at suggestions, at least it's warm on the computer, don't think the glue will set in the shed (my excuse anyway).
