    Henschel 123 A1 model

    Howdy guys,

Well, I have been busy today, I have completed two models I have been working on. The Henschel 123 A1 is the most recent. The first photo I thought looked better in Black and White, the second is in color:

    Now in color:

Edit: And here is a Black and White Pic I just found about 45 minutes after posting this thread. Its a photo of the real aircraft in about the same pose as the above Color Pic.

Thats kinda spooky that I posed mine so much like this one having never seen this photo before now.

The other Model I finished today was the "A 3B SKYWARRIOR" BY HASEGAWA in 1:72 scale:

And the good thing is, its only 1:43 p.m. here so I still have time for another lol.

    Have a good day all,

    Greg aka GW

      Thanks RJ,

I am doing a "speed modelling marathon" it seems today, I just now finished up a Revell Cessna Citation 500 that I will be posting in a moment.

      Have a good day,

      Greg

Greg, is the Henschel a plastic or a card model?

It is a superb rendition either way and it always makes a model so much more alive when you can compare it with a genuine period photograph.

            Howdy Bunker,

The Henschel model is a plastic kit by Italeri in 1:48 scale. I bought it Tuesday for $5.00 on sale at the hobby shop before going to my Dr's appointment.

            Note:

Sorry, the Avia B534 model that i was gonna post, was removed from the site.

            Have a good day,

            Greg

                Howdy Itsa,

                Thanks for the kind words.

The Henschel 123 A1 was built for the German airforce during the 1930's as an attack biplane following the strict limitations placed on German armed forces after WWI.

It was first used in the Spanish Civil war to support frontline troops. In WWII, it was used to support infantry on the eastern front until there were no more Hs 123's left.

The above is from the History which was included with the model instructions.

                Have a good day,

                greg

Never was a truer statement about war. Figting till theres nothing left to fight or fight with.

Its only 10 pm here, so you have a good head start on me lol.

                    Greg aka GW

ps. WAR DOES NOT DETERMINE WHO IS RIGHT, IT DETERMINES WHO IS LEFT

Of course there will always be the odd one like myself who spend half thier life in the United States and half of it in the UK.

                          Best of both worlds really!!
