    Waveney Lifeboat

I'm interested in building a Waveney Lifeboat - one of the nicest models I've seen is the Metcalf mouldings one - seems good value with all the fittings at £375 BUT it's nearly four feet long - too big for me. Three feet is my intended maximum to save re-arranging the car boot etc to get it in. I've seen an advert for a Waveney from Kingston Mouldings which is 3 feet long but I can't seem to get much info on the details of the kit - it only costs around £80, so it's not looking as if there's much with it other than the hull. Anyone got any ideas please on any other suppliers?

How about getting the Billings Coastgaurd boat and converting it to the Waveney? Thats the way they built the real thing after all.About £100 for a full kit 1:20 scale. ABS Hull but still nice.

      Sourcing Waveney

Hello all, Mankster - you beat me to it:grinball2: Periscope- the link is http://www.billingboats.com/gb/waveney.html Well worth considering and extremely handlable without re-arranging the boot LOL The Metcalf Mouldings one is definitely on my wish list but i know what you mean. Size sometimes does matter when trying to make an impression. The sheer presence of this size of model would make the inconvenience well worth it.

      cheers

but i have no idea how much that costs.

its kinda annoying, i just want a nice 1 foot maximum kit.prefurably plastic and the only plastic kit i can find is an 1:72 Severn class airfix one which im not too sure about.

The Model Slipway Trent is 274.00 pounds as per thier price list on thier website.

What about thier rescue boat for 48.00 quid?

There is also the Speedline one at 560.00 pounds:

but I do not know of anything as small as a 1/72nd one I'm afraid.
