    Fine scale anchor chain

hi all you ship builders out there.
I've been chatting with Fenlander on my upcoming ship build ( it's in scale at 1/700 so yes it wil be a small ship ( my first )
Now from a lot of videos I've seen the anchor chains that are moulded of the bows are ( should we say ) possibly needing replaced and well here lies the problem.
I do have some fine scale chain gratefully donated from the wife but this would suit a 1/35 tow chain for armour but this would be oversized from a ship and also noted from Fenlander the anchor chains were rounded and not flat. pE chains I've read can be flat!
So any body know where 1/700 scale or there abouts could be sourced

    Regards

    Robert

In that scale anchor chain will be probably about as thick as a piece of cotton thread.
You are going to need a chain that has a minimum of 40-45 links per inch.

Found this on eBay. The 1/700 is 40 links per inch

Or this in the U.K. At 42 links per inch

Oh no this will be a lengthy build if I think about all the Pe to do and extras.
Lots of study to do me thinks

If you order a chain go for the one with the most links per inch and the thinnest you can find. Now you got the kit, you can look and get an idea of how fine it will need to be.
