I have never weathered a ship, or built one, before but as i am getting the 1/144 Fletcher for Christmas (platinum edition) plus the Big Ed set, i thought i would check out the techniques for hull staining, rusting etc. Mostly seems to follow the same principals as for building tanks. I did discover by accident that AK Interactive had a DVD on tips for doing exactly what i was looking for, good start, bad thing is the DVD is out of production. HOWEVER if you download the AK app (android and iPhone), you can go to the media section then DVD's and the DVD is listed in that section. It is split into three pieces. All of which work in YouTube and its all for free ! :smiling:
