    Revell's 2007 Bismarck / Tirpitz tool error?

While I was looking at the 2007 Revell Bismarck/Tirpitz, I couldn't help but notice that the Bismarck kit is 1mm longer than the Tirpitz (71,8mm and 71,7mm, respectively).
Most online sources state that the Tirpitz was in fact a few meters longer than the Bismarck (250.5m vs 253.6m according to www.bismarck-class.dk).
Is this neglection from Revell, or simply failure to do proper research? How well are the other differences between the two ships covered by Revell?

I would have to say that Revell ignored the differences between the hull lengths, to use a common tool for the hull.
The Revell kits do show the major differences ie the Tirpitz has a mass of AA guns, and torpedo tubes, the Bismarck lacks the AA director covers aft.
You can find the exact differences by downloading the instructions from Scalemates,*link* and comparing them! A bit tedious, but will show the variations

Dave, I agree. That sounds plausible and is exactly what Tamiya did. I'll have a look. Thanks!
