Just spotted this on the bay of fleas, is this for real ?
a perfect chance to start a R/C Sub build..

Just had a look at this, the Monogram kit is actually 1:228 scale. Further research shows this kit is 13" long, which would be tiny for an r/c submarine, subs are usually large r/c models.
If you do fancy an r/c submarine make sure you can get the r/c for it. The modern 2.4ghz isn't suitable as it doesn't work when the model is underwater i.e. the radio waves don't travel through water. Older 27mhz and 40mhz radio sets are used by model submariners.

HI chris yes this 1/32 is a mistake as i have a freind with his sub an its nr 6ft long an this model wont be able to R/C as too small

AN Tony i dint know that the 2.4 gig i no good for subs as the signals wont penetrate the water so to me its look like 40 meg is is a better R/C SYSTEM just as well as i have 3 sets still to fall back on thanks for the info

I still have somewhere a 40mhz set, unfortunately no receiver. I no longer build or sail r/c models, ok with plastic kits nowadays.

YEA you are right there Toby im still learning with that new R/C SYSTEM i have just bought as it throws everything i know about R/C on its head an im a bit confused over how to wire this unit up to its ESC but im in no hurry as i havnt finished tigers hull yet so cant fit the eletronics anyway yet an between now an when i am ready i hope to learn a bit more of my problem as ive talked to some guys who are into R/C an so far the answers are 50 /50 so its a case of WAIT till i find out for sure as there is a lot of money 's worth in this R/C SET an i dont want to see it go up in smoke
